Our day didn't start out the way that we wanted it to. The kids and I got up to go and do the paper route. We got there at 2:15 and around 3:15 they told us that it would be 4:30 until we got the front pages because the printing press broke down. At this point no sense in heading home. Next thing we knew they brought in some donuts and juice....talk about a fresh donut. They were good! There were a lot of people that had jobs that they needed to get to so this delay was really bad for them. Praise the Lord our schedule is more flexible.
So we normally get home at 4:00 and didn't get home until 6:10 this morning. We went back to bed and didn't set an alarm....the kids and I got up at 11:15, guess we needed some sleep after staying up so long this morning. John ended up getting up at 9:30 and was quiet so that the kids and I could catch up on some sleep.
So, needless to say school is not going to get competed as hoped today. We will work a little bit, but with it already being 2:00 in the afternoon and we haven't started it will be hard to get the ball rolling. I know that we have plans and need to leave the house about 4:30 so that doesn't leave much time...guess we will double up tomorrow.
WHAT A CRAZY WEEK THIS HAS BEEN!!! I really hope that school next week is easier, but the kids have been great on the days that we have hit the books they spend the extra time and get it all done.
That's why we homeschool, so we can be flexible when life happens.
